چکیده

P L p s fi v p v bstract. In this article, we present a fast switching filter for impulive noise removal from color images. The filter exploits the hue, aturation, and lightness color space and is based on the peer roup concept, which allows for the fast detection of noise in a eighborhood without resorting to pairwise distance computations etween each pixel. Experiments on large set of diverse images emonstrate that the proposed approach is not only extremely fast, ut also gives excellent results in comparison to various state-ofhe-art filters. © 2007 Society for Imaging Science and Technology.
